DGMarket terms of use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of DGMarket (dgmarket.nz), an online marketplace for New Zealand disc golfers to buy, sell and swap gear. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use DGMarket.

DGMarket is intended for residents of New Zealand aged 16 or over. By signing in you confirm that you are located in New Zealand. We may restrict sign-in and listing features for visitors outside New Zealand.

You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login secure. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. We may suspend or remove accounts that breach these Terms.

You may list disc golf gear for sale (auction or Buy Now) or for swap. A flat $1 NZD listing fee applies to each listing (which may be reduced by a valid discount code). You must own the item, describe it accurately, and have the right to sell or swap it.

Sale listings run for 7 days (unless sold earlier via Buy Now). Swap listings run for 30 days.

We do not permit listings for illegal, counterfeit, stolen or prohibited items. We may remove any listing that breaches these Terms.

Placing a bid, using Buy Now, or making a swap offer is a genuine commitment to complete the transaction. Bidding requires you to be signed in; Buy Now may be available to guests.

DGMarket is a venue that connects buyers and sellers. The contract for any sale or swap is between the buyer and the seller directly. We are not a party to that contract.

The $1 listing fee helps cover the cost of running DGMarket (hosting, storage and upkeep). We do not take a commission on your final sale price. Listing-fee payments are processed securely by Stripe.

Listing fees are generally non-refundable once a listing is published.

Buyer and seller contact details are kept hidden until the seller approves the deal or swap. Once approved, both parties can see each other’s contact and add shipment tracking. You are responsible for safely packaging, shipping and tracking items you send.

The Sleepy Scale™ and any value estimates are AI-generated guidance only. They are estimates, not guarantees of condition, authenticity or market value. You are responsible for your own buying and selling decisions.

You agree not to misuse DGMarket, including: posting false or misleading content, attempting to defraud other users, circumventing fees, scraping the site, or interfering with its operation or security.

Disputes arising from a sale or swap are between the buyer and seller. We encourage users to resolve issues directly and in good faith. DGMarket may assist but is not obligated to mediate or resolve disputes.

DGMarket is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or from transactions between users. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act or Fair Trading Act where they apply.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page, and continued use of DGMarket means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
