Your privacy at DGMarket

DGMarket (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates dgmarket.nz, an online marketplace for New Zealand disc golfers to buy, sell and swap gear. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect your personal information in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

Account information: your name, email address and profile details provided when you sign in (including via Google).

Listing & transaction information: details of items you list, bids, offers, swaps, purchases and the shipping/tracking details you choose to share.

Communications: messages you send us through contact or feedback forms.

Technical information: anonymous visit data such as a randomly generated visitor ID, pages viewed, and approximate location (country) used to keep DGMarket secure and available to New Zealand residents.

To create and manage your account and let you list, bid, buy and swap gear.

To connect buyers and sellers once a deal or swap is approved, including sharing contact details only after approval.

To process the $1 listing fee and any discount codes.

To send you notifications you have opted into, such as listing and deal updates.

To understand how the site is used (aggregate analytics) and to improve and secure the service.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where necessary: with the other party to a confirmed sale or swap (contact details, after seller approval), with trusted service providers who help us run DGMarket (such as payment and hosting providers), and where required by law.

Listing-fee payments are processed securely by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store your full card details on our servers.

Your information is stored securely and protected with reasonable technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS). No system is completely secure, but we take steps to protect your data from loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can request access to the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. To do so, contact us at admin@dgmarket.nz.

We use cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in and to remember a non-identifying visitor ID for analytics. You can clear these at any time through your browser settings.

DGMarket is not intended for use by anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page.
